Calling all foodies, this one is for you! We have rounded up some of the best Scottish food and drink festivals taking place across the country this summer and you are not going to want to miss out!
From stylish street food markets to whisky masterclasses and family friendly days out – your summer diary is about to get a whole lot busier!
Where: Argyle Street Arches, Glasgow
When: Held every week, Friday-Saturday, 12pm-12am, Sunday, 12-6pm.
In Glasgow’s City Centre, Platform offers an amazing array of street food every weekend Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Enjoy the ever-changing selection of independent street food traders in one place whether you want to sit in or take it away.
Where: Pitt Street, Edinburgh
When: Held every weekly on Saturday from 12-10pm and Sunday, 12-6pm
The perfect weekend activity is visiting The Pitt in Edinburgh for the best street food, some drinks and live music. The event celebrates delicious street food throughout the summer every weekend. The place is dogs-friendly as well and kids are welcome until 8pm.
Where: Saunders Street, Edinburgh
When: Sundays from 10-5pm
As well as some seriously tasty morsels, Stockbridge Market also offers crafts and handmade goods from small local traders. This family of markets has expanded to include regular events around Edinburgh so check out their other dates and venue too.
The Gin Fayre
If you love gin, you will love this event, because it does not just bring the best of Scottish gin, but the bests from all over the world. Starting on 20 July in Perth, The Gin Fayre will take place in six different venues and dates across Scotland.
Edinburgh Whisky Festival
Where: Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh

As well as sampling a wee dram (or several!) from Scotland, the Edinburgh Whisky Festival is the chance to taste tipples from further afield with distillers from the USA, Japan and other parts of the world.
Midsummer Beer Happening
Where: Baird Park, Stonehaven
When: 20th to 22nd June 2019
Now celebrating its 10th anniversary, the Midsummer Beer Happening is set to showcase more than a 120 beers along side the finest food options and local musicians to perform. Definitely one for the craft beer enthusiast in your life.
Skye Food and Drink Festival
Where: Isle of Skye
When: 24th to 29th June 2019
With events happening all across the beautiful Isle of Skye, this Scottish food festival is a true celebration of the area’s produce and offerings. From markets to masterclasses, this six day festival has plenty on offer for palates of all kinds.
Summer at Eden
Where: Eden Court, Inverness
When: 6th and 7th July 2019
On the 6th and 7th July Eden Court in Inverness will play host to arts, crafts and food at Summer at Eden. Discover some of Scotland’s amazing producers and makers in this free to enter event.
Spirit of Speyside Gin Experience
Where: Gordon Castle Walled Garden, Fochabers
When: 12th to 14th July 2019
The Spirit of Speyside brand is launching its new event to celebrate the best of Speyside gin. Head along for a chance to meet the distillers, enjoy a tipple and soak up the atmosphere in the beautiful surroundings.
Edinburgh Food Festival
Where: Assembly George Square, Edinburgh
When: 19th to 28th July 2019
Returning for the fifth year, this free event in Edinburgh will give you a taste of the best of food and drinks producers in Scotland. With options covering everything from vegan delicacies to tapas, this is definitely one for the foodie bucket lists.

Foodies Festival is back and this year there will be everything from demonstrations by top chefs as well as all the opportunities you could hope for to sample everything from Champagne to dessert – sign us up!
Galloway Country Fair
Where: Drumlanrig Castle, Dumfries and Galloway
When: 17th and 18th August 2019
The Galloway Country Fair brings together some amazing Scottish food and drink options alongside country pursuits and an array of activities for the whole family – all set within the beautiful surroundings of Drumlanrig Castle.
Alba Real Ale Festival
Where: Royal Tay Yacht Club, Dundee
When: 23rd to 29th August 2019
The event to spend your August Bank Holiday weekend on with your family or friends. The festival will showcase 40 real ales, ciders and lagers as well as food straight from the BBQ food and live music performances as well.
