Bold Is Beautiful

Throughout May, Benefit Cosmetics are going to be donating 100 percent of profits from Benefit Brow Bar waxes to two chosen charities; Look Good Feel Better and Refuge, through their Bold Is Beautiful project.

Look Good Feel Better UK helps people manage the physical side effects of cancer treatment and is dedicated to improving the confidence and well-being of those undergoing treatment. Refuge provides a range of life-saving and life-changing services and aims to empower women and children to rebuild their lives, free from domestic violence and fear.

With their mantra ‘We give 100 percent so women can feel and #be100percent’ Bold Is Beautiful raised over £297,603 for amazing causes in 2018.

Ingredients That Care

Feel-good beauty brand Lush recently expanded their make-up collection, adding products that are packed with ingredients that give back. The Glow Stick solid high highlighters and Slap Stick solid foundations are made using luxurious argan oil which is harvested by a women’s co-operative in Morocco. Also contained with these products is organic, extra virgin coconut oil from Nias in Indonesia with10 percent of the purchase of the coconut oil supporting the funding of literacy classes and a dentist on the island.

Bee Lovely

Apart from making delicious honey, bees are a super important part of maintaining the health of crops and their populations are in serious decline. To help support the bees, Neal’s Yard have developed their gorgeous, Bee Lovely range which includes the luscious All Over Balm which soothes and nourishes from top to toe! Three percent of sales from Bee Lovely go to bee charities including Bees For Development which introduces bees to cashew orchards in Ghana to help boost struggling harvests.

Shining A Light On Mental Health

As well as creating wonderful fragrances, Jo Malone London are working with a number of charities all with a focus on shining a light on mental ill health in order to raise awareness, provide support and end stigma.

Some of the charities supported include the St Mungo’s, NSPCC and the Scottish Association for Mental Health with Jo Malone supporting the regeneration of Edinburgh Redhall Walled Garden which is cared for by volunteers to help equip them with life skills.

These charities are supported through Jo Malone’s charity candles including the newest arrival, White Lilac and Lily which is packed with gorgeous summer garden scent. For each candle sold in the UK, Jo Malone donate 75 percent of the retail price to support people and their families affected by mental ill health.
