This weekend you can give your wardrobe an overhaul at Ocean Terminal in Leith.
Saturday 26th January will see Ocean Terminal offer shoppers the chance to create a whole new look without breaking the bank. This weekend the shopping centre will be playing host to its first Clothes Swap event organised by The Leith Collective and Fashion Revolution Scotland as part of this month’s Sustainability Campaign.
To take part shoppers are encouraged to bring three to five items from their own wardrobes to the Image Collective Gallery Space in the centre between 1 and 4pm. In return participants will be given tokes so that they can choose pieces of clothing from other contributors and it only costs £2 to take part. If you don’t have any pieces you wish to part with you can still get involved by paying a £4 entry fee instead.
“January is a long month until pay day and if you’ve missed out on the bargains over Christmas this is the perfect event for you to find a new outfit in exchange for some clothes at home you no longer use, or perhaps have never worn,” says Deputy Centre Manager, Michelle MacLeod.
