Looking for something a little bit different this festive season? Why not shop local with these top Scottish brands and designers…

Colab, Glasgow

Glasgow’s Savoy Centre has transformed into a creative hub to help showcase Scotland’s freshest talent all under one roof!

Having opened its doors on November 30th, COLAB hopes to offer independent Scottish brands and designers a community hub where they can collaborate to help each other grow and thrive. The concept also aims to encourage shoppers to shop local and find something truly unique.

At the moment, COLAB plays home to incredible names such as Fashion Designer Hayley Scanlan, Fashion Designer Barbra Kolasinski, independent retail place, SuperMarket, eatery, Kohi Poke, hot dog joint, Fire Dog, Scottish brand Ali Mac Candles, and pop and urban art specialists, Subversion Gallery.

In addition Colab is partnering with Glasgow homeless charity, Simon Community Scotland, on their Give a Gift Appeal to gift the homeless things they really need this Christmas. A drop off point has been set up within the Savoy Centre to make it easy for you to donate.

This new and exciting retail concept aims to create a unique shopping and cultural experience for shoppers just in time for Christmas with some amazing added bonuses. Throughout December there will be an eco-friendly gift wrapping service on offer by local artist Samantha Alexa. As well as using recycled biodegradable paper the wrapping will incorporate natural garnishes – time saving and environmentally friendly too!
