The hunt is on to find Scotland’s next top model – and the winner will land a modelling contract with the country’s top agency.
Back by popular demand in the Howgate Centre after the success of the inaugural event last year, would-be models can be from five years old with no age barrier on the oldest entrants for Model Search Scotland.
The Falkirk shopping centre has partnered with Model Team to find editorial and commercial males and females.
Based in Glasgow, it’s the country’s longest established model agency and director Michael O’Brien has revealed Model Team will sign up one winner from each age category for a maximum of 12 months.
The age categories are: 5 to 12 years; teens – 13 to 19 years; young adults – 20 to 30 years; and commercial 31-plus years.
Last year’s event attracted entrants from all over Central Scotland, we are hoping more males and more mature people will become involved as there is lots of commercial work out there for models who work part time. We are hoping lots of mums and dads will enter, and we might find even the next silver fox.
Online entries are open until the end of April, with the judges selecting a short list to attend a casting day on Sunday, May 7th.
The Howgate’s spring fashion show takes place on Saturday, May 27th when the first round finalists will take to the catwalk, alongside professional models.
Entrants will then be selected to go through to the grand final and as well as the autumn fashion show, they will also take part in a professional photo shoot.
We’re looking forward to seeing how many entrants win a contract with Model Team. The overall winner will receive an additional £200 Howgate gift card and a bag of treats from the shopping centre.
