What do you wear to a fashion awards in Los Angeles? That would have been the question on all the guests’ lips as they got ready for the Daily Front Row Fashion Los Angeles Awards 2016 yesterday.
The majority of famous females opted for monochrome – except controversial Lady Gaga! The Bad Romance singer was never going to opt for a simple black number, instead opting for her usual ‘shock factor’, in a bizarre sparkly creation with cuffs that resembled cheerleaders’ pompoms!
As you will see from our selection of photos (below) from the red carpet arrivals at the Fashion LA Awards, some of our other favourite celebrities got it just right, while others left very little to the imagination!
Model Gigi Hadid dared to bare and turned heads on the red carpet with her ivory sheer gown. The floor-length creation with puff sleeves and fringe detailing down the front accentuated Gigi’s famous long pins.
Also flashing some flesh was socialite Nicole Richie, whose revealing black halter neck dress was see-through. The creation, with cut-away sides, gave a nod to the boho trend with its choker-style neck and waist detail.
Wearing a monochrome two-piece, actress Kate Hudson looked striking. The bandeau crop top showed off her toned midriff while the side split lengthened her legs. With low-maintenance swept-back hair, Kate introduced a pop of colour by opting for pillar-box red lips and nails.
Looking demure in a vintage-style sleeved ivory dress was Jennifer Lopez. Wearing a high, bowed neckline, paired with a black and gold box clutch, the singer-turned-actress oozed style and sophistication. She opted for off-white stilettos, similar to the pointed heels worn by Pamela Anderson.
Best-known for her revealing outfits, the former Baywatch babe surprised us all with her black sleeved, to-the-knee dress. The square-shouldered, V-necked dress did, however, enhance her famous cleavage, in true Pammy style!
Wearing head-to-toe black, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley rocked the office look with a simple black, double-breasted, buttoned dress with cinched-in waist, black clutch and pointed heels.
And, with a reputation for shocking us, Lady Gaga did not disappoint! The eccentric singer donned a sequined, floral creation – finished off with colourful pompom cuffs! Perhaps onlookers were too distracted by her dazzling dress to notice her excessively-high platforms that added around nine inches to the popstar’s tiny five-foot-one stature!
What do you think of the red carpet outfits?
