The lucky winner of the Reader Make-Over, Tricia Aitken, as chosen after her daughter wrote in explaining why her mum deserved a special treat. She said, "This is my mum. She works really hard and has struggled for years but is always there for me and her grandkids whilst my partner is away in Iraq. Mum is always there for me, she is a nurse ad loves her job but she's tired and I feel a make-over would cheer her up."

No.1 and Central FM teamed up to give Tricia a pampering day to remember. First she had her teeth whitened by DentaWhite to ensure she had a dazzling Hollywood smile. Then she was whisked away to celebrity hair salon Taylor Ferguson where she was treated like a star and given highlights and a flattering new style. She was then brought back to the No.1 studios where No.1 Make-up Artist Donna Sloan showed her how to knock off the years and really bring out her best features - all through the magic of make-up. Then, to finish off her day as a celeb, she was given her very own photoshoot which appears in No.1.
