The Autumn/Winter shows were full of dramatic, high-impact make-up and this model at the Christian Dior show (pictured right) is a perfect example. Although the make-up on the catwalks is often very exaggerated, it does often spark the trends that we find ourselves wearing a few months later, usually via a few of the big celebs first. Here we can see that porcelain matte skin is back in a big way - perfect for winter when we'll be lucky to see the sun at all in Scotland. The ivory theme is continued with the make-up artists' favourite secret - the white eye pencil. Used in the rim of the eye it opens up peepers like nothing else and, with the inclusion of the fanciful false lashes, the model looks wide-eyed and doll-like. Because the eyes are so bold the lip is kept nude so as not to fight with the drama at the top of the face. To re-create this look at home and make it all together more wearable, invest in the white eye pencil and keep the false lashes at the top of the eye instead of adding to the lower lid (unless you have a massive event that you really want to stand out at - then feel free to really go for it!).
