Inside the party of the decade

We all saw the new Duke and Duchess of Cambridge say their I do's but it was after the TV cameras were switched off that the real partying began. Around 8pm 300 of the couple's closest friends and family hit Buckingham Palace for what is being described as the party of the decade.

First the guests dined on a seafood starter followed by lamb and finished with a mini dessert trio.

It was around 10pm that the speeches began, with Prince Harry making various comedic quips and with even Prince Charles getting in on the comedian act by joking about his son's dwindling hairline.

Insiders also say that for the first dance Wiliam and Kate stood in the centre of the dancefloor holding hands and looking lovingly at each other when the opening bars of 'You're The One That I Want' from Grease started blasting out of the speakers to rapturous applause from the guests. The couple then giggled and danced whilst mouthing the words to each other.

Reports from inside to palace say that Prince Harry was in an energetic mood busting out moves on the dancefloor but he was outdone by Kate as she danced for hours with her old uni friends from St Andrews.

The happy couple left the next morning set off on a romantic weekend away but William is due back at work today!

It was a most beautiful wedding in every way, a handsome uniformed prince, his very beautiful bride and a stunning dress, the best royal wedding that I have seen and heard (from the Bishop of London). A very positive start and the very best wishes for all future happiness and positive support for both.
