The X Factor fakery?

So The X Factor started back this weekend and it has caused quite the stir. This time it wasn't so much about Cheryl's hair or the Cheryl vs Dannii style battle that was hogging the headlines.

The controversy is more to do with the fact that there are claims that 'auto-tune' has been used whilst editing the show to make the auditionees who are put through by the judges sound better.

Which kind of goes against the whole point really doesn't it? It's meant to be all about finding a diamond in the rough but by 'polishing' performances so that each note is in tune afterwards means the viewer doesn't really know who's good and who's just had extra help in the editing studio.

As ever you can always count on mouthy Lily Allen to wade in with her opinion on the show. She took to Twitter saying, "X Factor FAIL. Too set up/scripted in my humble opinion... it's sh*t. FACT! It's everything that I detest about modern western culture. Cowell is the only one who really benefits. I don't know how Simon Cowell has managed to get away with essentially copywriting the talent contest. It's beyond me, really."

She continued, "I've better things to do with my time than feed the nation with the notion that doing cover versions will sort your life out. I'd rather actually eat my own crap than sit next to any of those goons. Except Cheryl, obvs."

What's your opinion on The X Factor? Are you still loving it or have you had enough of the whole concept now?

I enjoy watching X factor but a lot are rubbish. They believe they can sing when they can't. They just want to be famous.
