Did Susan turn down dinner with Obama?

The very prestigious Correspondents Dinner took place in Washington this weekend and Susan Boyle was apparently invited by a powerful fan - Barack Obama!

With Obama being the guest of honour at the swanky do - tickets where literally worth thousands and yet Susan was offered the chance to attend.

In fact according to sources she was more than offered - she was begged!

But shy Susan thought that it would all be too overwhelming and instead decided to stay at home in Blackburn. No doubt to the disappointment of Barack who is said to be a big fan after watching clips of Susan online.

Guests who did attend included, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, Tyra Banks, Demi Moore and Gordon and Tana Ramsay.
