Russell arrested over Katy

Now we by no means condone violence but surely there are few who won't understand what Russell Brand did this weekend? Whilst he and fiancee Katy Perry were making their way through an airport in California they were, as they usually are, being hounded by paparazzi.

Except this time things got out of hand and Russell ended up hitting one of the paps and being arrested for assault causing the couple to miss their flight.

Russell allegedly attacked the photog because he was trying to stick his camera lens up Katy's skirt to get a crude shot.

What is with these paps?

Of course Russell did not take kindly to Katy being harassed in such a way so he lashed out.

Shortly afterward Katy took to her Twitter saying, "If you cross the line & try an put a lens up my dress, my fiancé will do his job & protect me. #standbyyourman #don'tf**kwiththeBrands.”

Russell is now out on $20,000 bail.
