Ross and Brand jail?

Have Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand taken their comedy too far this time? According to media watchdogs the pair could face a jail term for their latest set up.

It all started out when Jonathan and Russell pre-recorded a segment for Russell's Radio 2 show. The segment involved the comedic pair phoning Fawlty Towers star Andrew Sachs, and leaving a series of 'funny' messages on his voicemail.

One such message went like this with Brand saying, "I'd like to apologise for the terrible attacks, Andrew Sachs... I said some things I didn't of oughta, like I had sex with your granddaughter... It was full of respect, I sent her a text, I've asked her to marry me, Andrew Sachs."

Meanwhile Ross was shouting in the background, "Your granddaughter... she was bent over the couch."

As if that wasn't below the belt enough, the pair then began chatting about what 78-year-old Sachs's reaction would be to hearing the voicemail with Russell 'joking', "The main news again. Manuel Andrew Sachs hung himself today."

Now various media outlets are claiming the pair could be jailed because the phonecalls could be termed 'abusive'. So far no official statement to that effect has been released.

Forget the jail; far more shameful to live with the stigma of exhibiting such execrable taste.

They deserve to go to jail. They both are rude, unfunny and to sure of themselves. It's time they learnt respect for other people and their own families. their families but be so proud of their behaviour.

The two guys are talented, however they have been taking things too far just because of their status.I do feel that was such poor taste.I would have thought after the problems during Big Brother people would have learnt a lesson. We are forgetting the traditions and values that Britain and Britsh people stood for. There is room for entertainment and comedy without lowering the tone and language.Look at the state of the country and the news we hear about the youth today.Do we really need to be disgusting, disrespectful and abusive just to be entertaining and to have young viewers or any viewers watching/listening to televison or radio programmes? What an impression we must make to the world out there.
