Rupert says MJ is better off dead
British actor Rupert Everett is one of the first celebrities to diss Michael Jackson since his death, in fact he went further than just a diss. He said that "I think it was fortuitous that he died"
Risky business when you think how hardcore Michael's fan base is.
He tried to explain his comments by saying, "He was supposed to be doing 50 concerts in London. It wouldn’t have mattered how good or bad he was. He wouldn’t have managed to do all of them and the press would have destroyed him."
Well fair enough, everyone is allowed their opinion and perhaps he was trying to say that MJ's death actually saved him from terrible humiliation. Right? If that was the sentiment he wanted to deliver perhaps he should have stopped there...
But instead he went on to tell the Daily Mirror, "He was a freak. He looked like a character from Shrek. He was a black to white minstrel."
Uh oh, we predict a backlash...
Meanwhile in more Michael Jackson news, American press have been working themselves in to a tiz over the rumour that Michael had a secret 25-year-old son. Not only that, but the man in question is pictured sitting next to Michael's family.
So far the family haven't made any comments to confirm or deny the claims.
And that's not all in the MJ saga. Yesterday police in LA raided the clinic of Michael's doctor, who was with him when he died, Dr Conrad Murray.
The police are apparently looking for evidence of manslaughter.
