Jo claims it's over with Ronnie and lover

It's not like we didn't all see this coming - but it has been confirmed that Ronnie Wood and his 20-year-old lover have split for good.

And more surprisingly, this news came from an unlikely source, Ronnie's long suffering ex-wife Jo Wood.

Ronnie and Ekaterina Ivanova have had a stormy 18 month relationship, but the news last week that he assaulted her is inexcusable.

Reports stated that witnesses saw Ronnie dragging Ekaterina into the street whilst shouting and swearing at her. He's then said to have wrapped his hands around her throat.

Ekaterina has apparently refused to press charges but Ronnie did spend the night in a police cell.

Now Jo Wood has said, "'I was very upset to hear about what happened last week and I've spoken to Ronnie," she said.

"In fact, I called him after he came out of the nick to see how he was coping and he told me not to worry and that he's going to be OK. But he said he has split up with that girl for good. It's over. He won't be going back to her. There's no going back for him, he's adamant about that."

She continued, "We're still speaking and he's been talking with our daughter Leah, too, and told her the same thing. But before people ask or assume that we might be getting back together, we're not. Absolutely not. I'm very happy being single at the moment and I'm enjoying life."
