Peter and Elen have split up

Well that didn't last very long did it? After five months together, Peter Andre and Elen Rivas have announced their split. The pair met at the 45th birthday party of their infamous joint manager Claire Powell of Can Associates.

And when it was first announced the pair were dating there were lots of people who presumed that the whole thing was merely a publicity stunt concocted by Can. After all, this is the same agency who has Kerry Katona, Nicola McLean and Amy Child of The Only Way Is Essex fame, so it's hardly outside the realms of the imaginable that two clients would be temporarily paired up to try and get more exposure and column inches.

And when you think about it, there's not a whole lot going on with Peter at the moment, and not a ton of stuff to fill his reality TV show with other the usual footage of him spending time with his kids. So perhaps the 'romance' was all just a set up. What do you think?
