"Desperate" assault drama

Now this is a like a story straight from the show, ex-Desperate Housewives actress Nicolette Sheridan is suing the show's creator Marc Cherry (pictured with Nicollette right) for $2o million.

Nicollette says that Marc physically assaulted her and wrongly fired her.

The lawsuit claims, "Cherry took her aside and forcefully hit her with his hand across her face and head."

Of course this has been denied by Marc Cherry's reps but the case is going ahead.

However, US outlets are reporting that they have a very good source who claims Nicollette was fired from the show after being repeatedly warned about her lateness and for constantly forgetting her lines.

Apparently she was not happy at being fired and claimed she was owed $20 million for making the show such a hit and for lost future earnings.

Is it just a coincidence that this is precisely the sum she is now suing for?
