Mel splits from baby mama

Mel Gibson has split from his Russian lover just five months after she gave birth to his child.

Mel and his wife of 29 years divorced last year, and apparently the main reason was Mel's affair with the much younger Oksana Grigorieva.

Mel quickly began parading Oksana on red carpet after red carpet once the news hit, in a bid to make it look like his marriage had not ended over a fling, but instead he had just fallen in love with someone else.

It was then announced that Oksana was pregnant and all seemed to be going well between the pair.

In fact just last month Mel was on American TV talking about how happy he was since the birth of his baby daughter. He said, "She luckily looks more like her mother than me and is an angel and as for the mother, it turns out she’s a wonderful mother."

The couple maintained separate residences throughout their relationship, even after their daughter was born. Sources say the couple just grew apart.

However there are reports in the US that Mel dumped Oksana after a massive argument in which she accused him of cheating and going back on his promise to marry her.
