Mel divorce could be most expensive ever

After 28 years of marriage, Mel Gibson and wife Robyn are divorcing. Under California law Robyn has the rights to half of her husband's reported £640 million fortune.

When the court papers were filed this week 'irreconcilable differences' was the only reason given however, explosive pictures that were published last week could have something to do with it!

Mel was shown to be 'frolicking' on a beach with a pretty brunette. the two were locked in an embrace on the water's edge.

Mel and wife Robyn (picture right) have seven children together and are thought not to have a prenuptial agreement.
