Mel's ex wife sticks up for him

This Mel Gibson situation has gone from bad to worse for the actor as more and more hateful, aggressive and damning audio is released of him allegedly screaming at his ex-girlfriend Oksana.

But there is one person sticking up for him, and it's come as a bit of a surprise... his ex-wife Robyn.

Mel left Robyn, whom he'd been married to for 29 years, when he got together and impregnated Oksana.

But Robyn has come forward and told a judge involved with Mel and Oksana's custody battle, "Mel never engaged in any physical abuse of any kind toward me before, during or after our marriage. Mel was a wonderful and loving father."

Mel and Robyn have seven children together and source say Robyn was keen to clear up any speculation that may have arisen that they had been abused in any way by their father.
