Madonna faces judge to adopt

Madonna has officially landed in Malawi to progress with adoption proceedings of a sister for her three children.

The Material Girl has faced harsh criticism over her second adoption of a Malawi child, having adopted baby David Banda a couple of years ago. She is now looking to adopt a four-year-old girl named Mercy.

However there are reports that Marcy's family do not want her to leave the country but have been facing pressure from the orphanage where Mercy currently resides.

Mercy's mother died when she was 18 and her father cannot be found, so it is aunts and uncles that are exclaiming that the child should not be removed from the country. A decision is expected later today.
