Britney's mum spills

Lynne Spears just won't shut up about her new book. On the Today show in America she's been harping on again about setting the record straight in her new book 'Through The Storm'.

This time she's saying, "At first there was this honeymoon period with Britney where she could do no wrong, and then there was that ugly side of fame and we weren't ready for that."

When questioned about why she would let younger daughter Jaime-Lynn become a star after what happened to Britney, she said, "When Jaime-Lynn got involved in it, that was during the honeymoon period of Britney's career. So I thought, 'oh my goodness I have this other wonderful opportunity for my other child.'"

Jamie-Lynn then got pregnant at 16 and Lynne and she announced it on the cover of a tabloid magazine in a deal worth five figures - draw from that what you will!
