Lindsay still loves Sam

The Lindsay and Samantha drama continues to drag on as Linds makes a skeletal appearance on Ellen DeGeneres' talk show and explains that she was 'blindsided' by the split with her girlfriend of nearly a year.

The 22-year-old told the talk show host that she was completely shocked when Samantha Ronson broke off their affair. She explains, "I had no idea what was going on. I just hadn't seen her in, like, a week. She, like, disappeared."

There were suggestions that the Ronson family had encouraged Sam to take out a restraining order against the notoriously 'emotional' Lohan.

But Lindsay has not given up hope on a reconciliation, she told Ellen, "I really care about Samantha and we'll see what happens. Maybe when we're fully in the right place. And I love her."
