Katie's mixed reviews
It seems like Katie Holmes has been doing her Broadway show forever now, but it's only just been open to critics.
The show, named All My Sons, has garnered mixed reviews, The Daily News said it was "a fine Broadway debut," for the Dawson's Creek actress.
Not bad so far, but The New York Times were less kind, saying, "While Ann is supposed to arrive at the Keller household with high hopes and good intentions, Ms. Holmes delivers most of her lines with meaningful asperity, italicizing every word. This Ann is straight from the school of the Erinyes (those avenging furies from Greek mythology), and I didn't believe for a second that she really loved the honorable, naive Chris."
Hmmm, not so great that her portrayal of loving someone seems unbelievable. Mind you, we've all witnessed the uncomfortable displays of 'love' between her and Tom Cruise so maybe it shouldn't come as a surprise? |
