Pal tells of Katie's attack

Katie Price's best friend, hairdresser and make-up artist Gary Cockerill has spoken out about the time that Katie came and woke him up after being at a showbiz party to tell him that she had been raped.

Gary describes Katie being in shock as she explained that someone had held her down and forced themselves on her even though she kept telling them no.

Gary says, "There was no expression on her face whatsoever and she was deathly pale. My immediate reaction was to get help. I told her I'd call the police, a doctor, her mum - but Kate was adamant she didn't want to tell anybody."

He continued, "She was numb. I've never seen her like that before. She didn't cry. She just totally went into her shell. She told us she wanted to forget what had happened and never talk about it again."

Gary explained why he is now talking about the incident, he says it's because, when Katie admitted having experienced rape in the past when she was sticking up for Alex and his film that was said to depict a rape, everyone called her a liar.

He says he just wanted to show that she was telling the truth.
