Katie tries to be the bigger person

Katie Price is finally realising she has to start thinking about her public image as Peter has been winning the PR battle for some time now.

After hearing that Peter and Chantelle Houghton had been 'hanging out' she took to her magazine column and said:

"I've been told by more than one person that Chantelle Houghton has been seen going into Pete's house on more than one occasion. It seems like her and Pete could be in a relationship and if they are, I'm really pleased for them - I think she's a good looking girl, she seems nice an dI hope they're happy, just as long as he's with someone who is nice to our kids. Good luck to them."

How very unlike Katie to be so civilised - could it be that she genuinely is ready to move on or has she been advised to start taking the high road as Peter has so successfully done?

Whilst Peter has continually managed to gain the status of 'perfect man' since the split and Katie's behaviour has led her to be seen as the bad guy in the situation. But whispers of discontent are starting to emerge amongst the Peter followers, that yes he has been the better person and yes Katie has behaved terribly but should he defend the mother of his kids a little more?

Let's remember that they were very much in love at one point and they have children together, her career supported them for some time and now since he left her and she has acted out her heartbreak in the most embarrassingly public way - she is now being constantly slated by the press and fans alike. Surely Peter isn't happy to see his ex-wife whom he left be so publicly ostracised? Would it kill him to publicly say 'Katie is having a hard time since I left her and though I don't condone her behaviour she is the mother of my children, please don't judge and tear her apart - no one knows what goes on behind closed doors so lay off a little?'
