Katie & Peter: He says/she says

This weekend saw a shocking admission addition to the Katie and Peter split story, quickly followed by a game of he said/she said.

Katie's interview with Piers Morgan on Saturday night saw her insisting once again that she was fine and totally over the split.

When pushed for an explanation as to why Pete had left her she explained about the famous picture of her with horsing pals in a nightclub. She also explained the night involved a married couple a gay couple and herself 'letting off steam' at a gay club.

Apparently she and Pete had made a deal that they would only go out together as he couldn't control his jealously when she went out alone.

Seeing the picture from this night out caused Peter to phone Katie and ask for a divorce - yes he did that over the phone.

Katie then dropped the bombshell that two weeks earlier she had suffered a miscarriage leaving both her and peter devastated. She had then ran the marathon a couple of days later bleeding and heartbroken but desperate not to let anyone down.

A few days later Pete dumps her.

This all brought into context that infamous Ibiza trip - perhaps she was desperate to forget and her way of attempting this was to get as drunk as possible?

Pete's 'friends' quickly told newspapers that he was disgusted at Katie for having shared with the world the information about the miscarriage. Katie had said that she was disappointed Pete would not speak to her since he dumped her, not even to see how she was dealing with the miscarriage and the impending divorce. This shone an unflattering light on Pete who so far has come out of the whole thing looking like a saint.

Pete's friend said that Pete can 'finally see what she's all about' and is 'furious' with her.

This is all very muddled - we understand how Katie would have felt shocked and heartbroken to go through so much in such a short time and therefore went off the tracks for a week. But we can also understand how frustrating it must be for Pete to watch Katie make a fool of him and the kids by being so wild. Tell us what you make of all this...
