Kanye storms stage at MTV Awards

Kanye can always be counted on to do something entirely odd and inappropriate at awards ceremonies, usually it involves him throwing a diva strop after not winning an award.

But at last night's MTV VMA's he threw a strop when his friend Beyonce missed out on the Best Female Video award to 19-year-old country singer Taylor Swift.

Taylor had just accepted her award when Kanye jumped out of his seat in the audience and stormed the stage, saying, "Yo Taylor. I'm really happy for you, I'm going to let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time.'

The camera panned to Beyonce in the crowd who looked horrified.

Beyonce went on the win the Best Video award later in the night and called Taylor back onstage so that she could have another go at her acceptance speech ruined earlier by Kanye.

Kanye was ejected from the awards do by officials and took to his blog soon after to apologise for his behaviour.

He said, "I'm sooooo sorry to Taylor Swift and her fans and her mom. I'm in the wrong for going on stage and taking away from her moment. Beyonce's video was the best of this decade . . . I'm sorry to my fans if I let you guys down . . . I'm sorry to my friends at MTV . . . I will apologise to Taylor."

Sources say Taylor was seen crying backstage with her mother.
