Jenkins' Drug Hell

Welsh singing star Katherine Jenkins who has just signed a £6 million deal with the Warner Music label has revealed that she almost ruined her life by binging on ecstasy and cocaine. She said, "After taking cocaine I felt absolutely terrible. It was like the worst hangover in the world times ten, times a hundred. I didn't want to live the next day, it made me feel so depressed. It was just horrible."

Katherine stopped taking drugs after being offered a record contract and she realized it could jeopardize her career.

She said: "I knew in that moment that I had to stop taking drugs. I had been given this amazing opportunity and I just couldn't let myself mess it all up for the sake of cocaine or ecstasy."

The star was said to have revealed her past after seeing singing sensation Amy Winehouse's life go down the pan because of drugs. She felt that by speaking out it might help to persuade some youngsters to change their ways before it is too late.
