The pair have been flirting up a storm at every public event going, but that is what's making us suspicious about whether there really is anything going between them.
Since when has Jennifer opened herself up to such scrutiny by fawning all over a new love interest on the red carpet?
Especially someone with a bit of a ladies man rep like good old Gerard.
Could it be that Jen and Gerard became good friends on the set of their new movie, and, in light of all of the Brangelina controversy, Gerard agreed to help 'take the heat off' Jen?
Perhaps this is more likely than Jenard being the new 'it couple'.
But it's clear they still want us to think something is going on, because not only in Jen in Mexico celebrating her birthday with besties Courtney Cox and Sheryl Crow, but Gerard has been pictured there too!
