Jack tries to get out of curfew

Jade Goody's new husband is desperately trying to get out of his court enforced curfew so that he can spend more time with his terminally ill wife.

The 21-year-old has told friends that being with Jade for her last few weeks alive is of the upmost importance and he is sure his probation officers will understand.

At the moment his curfew is 7pm - which is part of the terms of his early release from an 18-month jail sentence for assaulting a boy with a golf club.

Jade is obviously desperate to have time with her new husband as unlike most married couples she doesn't have forever to look forward to.

What do you think - should Jack be given a pardon from his curfew to spend time with Jade?

I think he should have his curfew address made over to jade's this does not mean he will be allowed to get away with what he's done but I also appreciate that if this was an ordinary fella he wouldnt be able to have his curfew lifted it would stand, surely they can review these circustances and have a little compassion as and when if they need to change personal details.

Get out of curfew? - Definitely not! I am sure there are many in jail whose partners have a terminal illness. Jack is being let off lightly by being allowed out during the day with just a curfew.

surely the curfew can be moved to Jades house from his mothers house, it makes sense??? all our prayers go out to Jade

I think the curfew should be lifted for Jack. Ok the guy made a mistake but Jade doesnt have much time left and they should be allowed to be together till the end. My heart and prayers go out to them all.

No I don't think it should be permitted. Their circumstances are devasting but we have to bear in mind he attacked a 16 year old boy with a golf club you do the crime then you suffer the consequences. I think he he stays on curfew but it was changed to Jade's house and not his Mothers, then they can be together and he can finish his sentence. In saying all of this I am glad his curfew was lifted for his wedding day.

I don't condone what jack did, but Jade needs him more than ever right now and I believe he should stick to his 7pm curfew but change the address to Jade's now they are married. Jade's boys will need him too. The law is all wrong anyway, people who murder do not get life anymore so what is the point in the criminal justice system anyway? The government needs a wake-up call.

The tag is to ensure you stay at home therefore now thats hes married his home is with Jade so this should not really be an issue. I think the tag is to prevent the individual from being out in public at night, mainly at night clubs and bars!

Can't they change location so Jade can be with him where his curfew applies. I feel sorry for them, however it wouldnt't happen for anyone else. Jack is voluntarily in this situation..he didn't need to commit crime.

No one else would get off. He's lucky he was let off for his wedding night, no one else would have had that priviledge.

Holly at 13:51 on 26th Feb 2009

Surely they can change his curfew to Jades address now that they are married rather than his mothers, thus solving the problem.

Its sad that she is terminally ill, but how many other men and women have missed time with thier partners because they had to abide by the law/stick to immigration rules? Just because he is a celebrity does not mean that he should be given special rules when it comes to the beating of a young boy with a golf club.

Falkirk Bairn at 13:50 on 26th Feb 2009

He committed a horrible crime got out very early why should he be any different to any other criminal ?

Carmen at 13:50 on 26th Feb 2009

I have to agree with some of the above comments. If this was an average jo who wasn't famous it wouldn't even be a question he would be made to complete his curfew. Why should he be any different. It's a tragic story and I feel for them both as I lost my Mum to Cancer and there is a lot of it in my family but if he gets any more leniency it just makes a mockery of the justice system and how must his victim be feeling?

I think he should be allowed to spend the time with Jade, its very unfair, she needs him more than ever and so do her boys. this will make her even stronger to help her.she doesnt need to be alone to cope with her cancer.

It is typical of our so called justice in this country. If it was a local , unknown , person in the same medical state would Jack Straw intervene - I think not!!

-----------------

Sarah at 12:42 on 26th Feb 2009

I think if it comes to being close to the end he should be allowed to be at her house, or with her in hospital. I do not think he should be allowed anywhere else though. I wish Jade all the luck and love in the world. such a trong Brave inspirational woman.
