Holly's long long labour

For the last 48 hours we have been waiting for the news that Holly Willoughby has given birth to her new baby, but it looks like we'll have to wait a little while longer as it's been revealed she's not actually in 'full labour.'

Contrary to reports Holly is not due until May. Phillip Schofield has updated his Twitter account to fill us all in on the progress.

He wrote: "Just spoke to @hollywills who says thanks so much for all your good wishes. Here's the current situation, obviously if the baby arrived over the last few days it would be quite early, so the team around her are balancing when is the best time for her to be born."

He continued, "Holly said that she hadn't been in full blown labour since Monday! And though she was having contractions she was as comfortable as could be expected. Everyone fine and happy, but the wait goes on for a little bit longer. I'll let you know if I hear anything else."

We wish her the best of luck and hope that mother and baby continue to be happy and healthy.
