The paper called Gordon out on his claim to have been a first team player for Rangers Football Club. They spoke to officials who apparently told them that Gordon had not got anywhere near the first team and instead was just a trialist for a few weeks and then got injured.
He also claimed that he was scouted by Ranger officials whilst playing down south - his family then moved back up to Scotland to support him in his blossoming football career - not true say sources, none of it!
We don't know how important it is to a celebrity chef's career whether or not he played football for a major team but being called a liar must be humiliating!
So far no comment has been made from Gordon's camp.
