Brits win BIG
The Golden Globes paid homage to some of the UK's biggest stars with numerous big wins for talent from this side of the pond.
Kate Winslet had become accustomed to being nomintated but losing out in the actual award ceremonies time and time again. But this year the unprecedented move was made to award her Best Actress as well as Best Supporting Actress.
A shocked Kate took to the stage to accept and was shaking and tearful, she later shouted down the phone to her mother in England, "I won two Golden Globes mum!"
Other big winners of the night were Brit actress Sally Hawkins (right) for her critically acclaimed role in the movie 'Happy-Go-Lucky' and surprise hit 'Slumdog Millionaire' won four awards.
The Golden Globes are taking very seriously in the film world as they are often very good indicators of who and what will win an Oscar. |
