Clooney called up as witness

George is not going to be happy about this! First his Italian girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis was embroiled in a cocaine scandal in Italy, one of the first hints of any tarnish sticking to Clooney's so far impeccable reputation.

Now he's been called upon to testify as a witness at the court trial of the Italian President Silvio Berlusconi. He is facing charges for reportedly paying for an 17-year-old Morrocan prostitute and then using his position and power to have it covered up.

The prostitute in question has apparently claimed George Clooney was at one of Berlusconi's parties whilst she was also present.

George seems a bit bemused about the whole thing. He has simply said, "It seems odd since I've only met Berlusconi once and that was in an attempt to get aid into Darfur."
