Eva's despair at Tony

Now this story has come out of the left field, Eva Longoria and husband of three years Tony Parker seemed like one of the truly happy and in love Hollywood couples, but now it's all over.

The story broke in the US yesterday that Tony had been unfaithful and that Eva was set to divorce him.

But the reports were initially denied by the Desperate Housewives star's rep.

However Eva has now confirmed the split on her Twitter page saying, "It is with great sadness that after 7 years together, Tony and I have decided to divorce. We love each other deeply and pray for each other’s happiness."

It turns out that basketballer Tony had cheated on Eva with a woman he met through Facebook - and with whom he still keeps in touch with via the social network site.

Eva told her friend Mario Lopez, a reporter in the US, that she had found hundreds of personal text messages on her husband's phone to another woman. But it gets worse, it wasn't just ANY woman, it's said to be the wife of one of Tony's teammates - it's like John Terry all over again.

Sources close to Eva say that she has been completely blindsided by Tony's behaviour and has been left utterly devastated.
