Bit hard up are you Dwight?

Having been nothing but a perfect gentleman since he date Katie Price (cough cough) why ever would we expect Dwight Yorke to behave any other way?!

But let's try giving him the benefit of the doubt for just a moment shall we.

In the News of The World this weekend (already struggling to give him the benefit of the doubt?) he allowed excerpts of his new book 'Born to Score' to be printed, obviously the passages were mainly about Katie Price.

He starts by talking about when Harvey was burned the first time age four. He says that he had to fight his way into the hospital because Katie had banned all visitors, after which he was, "Sick of it all. Sick of Katie and her limp husband. I didn't want any more to do with them."

He doesn't half lay into Pete in the article, also saying, "When I met Andre I wanted to throttle him." He continued later, "And then they had the gall to talk about Andre ADOPTING him [Harvey]. I so, so wanted to grab him around the neck and throttle him for his insensitivity. So close. I'm very proud I managed to restrain my instincts. Having put up with everything his missus had thrown at me, I now had to listen to this idiot lecturing me on fatherhood? I don't think so. The guy's a muppet."

He also spoke of the first time Katie told him she was pregnant and how at first she agreed with Dwight's pleas to not go ahead with the pregnancy. A little while later she told him she was indeed going to have the baby.

He went on to say that there were problems right from the offset when he voiced his concerns about her alleged partying while pregnant and how she would not let him have any say in Harvey's name. He also says that over the years he has given the child thousands of pounds worth of presents and cheques.

But he says the final straw in his and Katie's parenting relationship came when Katie would not let Dwight's mother look after Harvey because she didn't have the correct cot, "It was deeply upsetting. The fact that Katie couldn't grant my mum that p***** me off like never before. I hated her at that moment. It was the final nail in the coffin - I wanted nothing more to do with her."

What do you make of all this? Katie has always painted Dwight as an absent father and Pete stepped in to be Harvey's dad. Plus the timing of these revelations are a little suspicious - bashing Katie right now guarantees the big ££££'s.
