Lindsay's mum gives interview

We wondered how long it would take Dina Lohan to secure some kind of tell all sit down interview since her daughter Lindsay was sent to jail and then rehab, and actually she lasted a good three weeks before giving in to the allure of publicity.

Dina sat down and did an interview on America's Today Show, one of the biggest TV programmes over there.

And Dina being Dina, someone who once referred to herself as the 'white Oprah' because she gives such good advice and is such a good listener, had plenty of interesting tit bits to share with the host of the show.

One of the main things that has caused a bit of a stir in the US is her insistence that the judge who sentenced Lindsay was wrong to send her to jail and rehab. She said, "I think she went overboard and played serious hardball with Lindsay... and put her in serious lockdown for two weeks. Its a really serious offense for a judge, she went against the district attorney... she's fired, basically."

There have been no reports of the judge being fired at all.

Dina also argued with the host about how many times Lindsay had been in rehab - she kept saying her daughter had only been in rehab twice whilst the host insisted that Lindsay had been in rehab four times. The host was in fact correct and Lindsay has been in rehab four times.

Dina seems to be always making excuses for her daughter saying that she is fine and that everyone is picking on her, yet many have accused Dina of being an enabler and just riding the coattails of her famous daughter's success and wealth.

Let's just hope that when Lindsay gets out of rehab she can turn her life around.
