Cheryl heads to war

Cheryl Cole flew to Afghanistan yesterday to show support for the troops over there. It's understood she is based in the extremely dangerous Helmand Province to shoot a short film that will be shown at next month's 'Pride of Britain Awards'.

According to a source Cheryl immediately accepted her invitation to go to Afghanistan because she desperately wants to show support for the soldiers that have been fighting out there for 10 years.

The source says, "Cheryl’s amazed by the courage of all those serving our country. When she was invited to go out to see them in Afghanistan, she immediately said ‘yes’. She thinks it’s such a great cause and they deserve all the recognition they get.”

Cheryl has reportedly got stuck right in and has been serving the soldiers dinner (sausages, mash and peas if you're wondering!).

It's a very scary place to visit so good on Cheryl for having the guts to do it we say! What do you think?
