Cheryl's first day at new job

After months of uncertainty it was announced last week that Cheryl Cole has indeed landed her dream job as a judge on the US version of The X Factor. The announcement came as a surprise to many who presumed Cheryl's fate had been sealed when it hadn't been confirmed sooner.

It also seemed unlikely that Simon would be allowed to have a relatively unknown Brit (she's not famous in the US) on the panel as well as have T4's Steve Jones as a joint host of the show with Nicole Scherzinger.

But Simon got his way and yesterday Cheryl completed her first day of filming, alongside fellow judges Simon, Paula Abdul and music mogul LA Reid.
