Officially dunzo - divorce!

There have been times over the last few months that it looked likely Cheryl would once again forgive hubby Ashley Cole. But any hopes he had for a reconciliation have now been dashed by the news that Cheryl has officially filed for divorce.

The legal papers have been lodged at the High Court and Chezza's management company stated on Twitter: 'We can confirm the divorce.'

But strangely enough sources are coming forward to explain why Cheryl has chosen now to file for divorce - and the reason is a bit odd to say the least.

A source says that she chose now so that Ashley would have a couple of weeks to deal with the divorce before the commencement of the World Cup.

The source said, "Cheryl has put England's World Cup dreams ahead of herself."

Hmm, something about that seems a bit odd, non?

Cheryl has chosen to divorce to give England a better chance in the World Cup??
