Cheryl on being an outsider
Cheryl Cole is in the process of promoting her new auto-biographical picture book 'Through My Eyes'. And as many have noticed, there is no mention of Ashley in the story of her life. Which is a little odd since the surname she got from marrying him is emblazoned across the front cover.
But whilst we're a little disappointed that she has just left the whole Ashley chapter out of the book yet it's supposed to be an all access look at her life, she has been chatting about all kinds of other topics.
She has spoken about her early life saying that she wasn't all that well behaved at school, "I was awful. They used to throw me out of class."
She has also talked about how she felt as a youngster when she went to the Royal Ballet School's auditions. She says, "I wanted to go home straight away. Everyone was prim and proper and I was from a council estate. Their parents all had money and we struggled just to get the money to travel down to London. I felt I was the odd one out. I didn't want to have to stand a certain way all my life and only eat salad." |
