They're definitely a couple?

Derek Hough's grandad has come out and confirmed that his grandson and Cheryl Tweedy are in fact more than just friends according to newspaper reports.

This comes after even more pictures of the pair out and about in LA were printed.

It seems that Derek and Cheryl never spend a second away from each other yet there has been a lot of confusion over whether they are just great friends or whether they're in a relationship.

Adding to this confusion is the whisperings about Derek's sexuality - with some sources swearing he is gay.

But his grandad Don says, "He is not gay in any way, by any stretch of the imagination. Derek has always presented and dressed himself well - it doesn't mean he is gay."

And on he and Cheryl's relationship Don says, "I know Derek is going out with Cheryl - she is his girlfriend over in England. I heard that she was sick, and Derek helped her."

However sources say that Cheryl is keen to have her divorce from Ashley finalised before she goes public and declares that Derek is her boyfriend.
