Cheryl speaks out on Ashley's affair

X Factor star Cheryl Cole has eventually broken her silence on her husband Ashley’s affair. "It was horrendous. But look, Ashley's young and he's got a young mentality for his age, anyway.

"He's learning. He has a beautiful soul. He's a really nice guy and I'm not stupid, you know. I'm really not. I know what I'm doing.

I've had enough knocks in the past to know what the circumstances are and I'm happy. If other people aren't, then that's their problem."

Tabloids revealed last year that the England footballer had cheated with a hairdresser during a drunken night out. Cheryl initially supported her husband in his denials of the affair however several weeks later she had removed her wedding ring and was reported to have moved out of the home they shared together.

No further comments were issued to the press and we waited with baited breath to see if the pop princess would fight to save her marriage or kick him to the kerb, Cheryl eventually appeared on Jonathon Ross sporting her wedding ring but refused to answer any direct questions on her marriage.
