Sacha: sued by woman in wheelchair
Comedian Sacha Baron Cohen is famed for his outrageous characters, including Borat, the star of his wildly successful movie. An his latest incarnation as Bruno is just as controversial.
Sacha is in full promotional swing for the movie and recently did a stunt at the MTV Movie Awards which involved landing from the ceiling on Eminem and shoving his bottom in his face.
But now Sacha is facing a more serious situation. He is being sued by a woman who claims a Bruno stunt for the upcoming movie has left her confined to a wheelchair.
Apparently Sacha and the film crew were filming a scene for the movie in a US bingo hall. The woman says that Bruno "attacked" her as part of the scene which led her to collapse.
The woman states that she hit her head on a concrete slab and has now been left with serious injuries, including "brain bleeds" which has resulted in her being confined to a wheelchair.
The woman and her husband are suing for unspecified amounts of cash. So far Sacha has not commented on the situation. |
