What happened with the Kiefer assault?

There has been a lot of crossed wires and misinformation about an incident involving Kiefer Sutherland and Brooke Shields at the MET gala last week.

Kiefer was charged with assaulting a Proenza Schouler designer after it emerged he head butted him.

The initial story was that the designer had upset Brooke Shields who was partying with Kiefer and Kiefer was simply defending her honour.

Then there was a statement released from Brooke Shields allegedly saying that the designer had not hurt her.

Then she came forward and said that the statement had been unauthorised and she had not said that at all. And that in fact she was on Kiefer's side.

Now it looks as though the real story is emerging. Sources say that apparently both Kiefer and Brooke were very drunk at one of the after parties after the MET gala. The Proenza Schouler did in fact bump into Brooke who then fell. This could have been through the force of the bump or the fact that she was drunk an wearing very high heels.

Kiefer then insisted that the designer apologise to Brooke. Then a scuffle broke out and Keifer head butted the designer leading his nose to start streaming with blood.

As Kiefer is still on parole from a DUI arrest it's not clear whether this incident will be seen as a violation if his agreement and mean he must serve jail time.
