Was it mould that killed them?

The story of Brittany Murphy's death followed quickly by the death of her husband five months later has caused major confusion in the US, and now it's taken an even more bizarre twist.

When Brittany's autopsy results were made public we learned that the cause of her death was pneumonia and there were various prescription drugs found in her system at the time.

Then when husband Simon died, it turned out that he had died of the same causes.

So what's the likelihood that two seemingly young healthy people would die of pneumonia?

Well now the investigation into the deaths has been taken over by the Los Angeles Department of Public Health because it's now thought that it could have been mould in their home that killed them.

What a sad outcome.
