Actress Britanny Murphy dies

Hollywood actress Britanny died yesterday morning from cardiac arrest at the tender age of 32. Foul play has been ruled out.

Britanny was found by her mother to have collapsed in the shower in her home.

She was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital less than an hour after her mother found her.

Britanny, the star of such beloved movies as Clueless and Just Married, is survived by her husband.

Ex boyfriend Ashton Kutcher (right) has shared his condolences, "2day the world lost a little piece of sunshine. My deepest condolences go out to Brittany's family, her husband, and her amazing mother Sharon. See you on the other side kid."

As is always the way with sudden celebrity deaths, there has been a lot of speculation already about what could have caused such a young lady to have a heart attack.

Some websites are linking her death to a supposed battle with annorexia - which would explain the massive weight loss we have seen over the years.

Others say that, like Michael Jackson, she may well have had a problem with prescription drugs and this could have had something to do with her death.

What an awful thing to happen just before Christmas, our thoughts are with her family.
