Angie rules media

The New York Times printed an interesting article recently that claims Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are expert puppet masters of the press.

The article states that when Brangelina sold the pictures of the new baby twins to People magazine, $14 million wasn't the only thing the publication had to promise the couple.

Apparently they had to agree never to use the term 'Brangelina' when writing a story about the pair as they hate that nickname. The magazine also supposedly had to promise that any future story printed about the Jolie-Pitts would be positive.

It's also claimed that whenever any bad press hits Brad and Ange - Angelina carefully orchestrates a way to repair their image, be it staged photos of the couple playing with their massive troupe of kids at the park or a snapshot of Ange in a war-torn country during her charity work travels.

All of this is hardly a surprise, most celebrity have to become media savvy in order to survive, but what makes this interesting is Brad and Ange are forever trying to portray themselves as above using the press to their advantage and having to court the paps.

All of this lends credence to the idea that Angie is seething about Jen Aniston's comments recently about Ange being 'uncool' for admitting she fell in love with Brad when he was still married to her. It comes when Angelina is on a mission to charm the Oscar board and the bad press cannot have been part of her masterplan. Well played Jen!
