Amy died of extreme detox?

Since partial results from Amy Winehouse's toxicology report came back saying that she did not have any illegal drugs in her system when she died, her family have been staunchly insisting that what they had said all along was in fact right.

Her father Mitch has always claimed that Amy sadly died as a result of giving up drugs and booze - not from an overdose.

In a recent interview he reiterated this saying, "Everything Amy did, she did to excess. She drank to excess and did detox to excess."

He is sure that she died from a seizure brought on from withdrawal symptoms associated with an alcoholic suddenly giving up alcohol.

He continued, "The periods of abstinence were becoming longer, and the periods of drinking were becoming shorter. It was heading in the right direction."
